Competition Regulations

1)   This is an age group competition, and notwithstanding what is written in the RFU Continuum, NO PLAYER MAY PLAY UP OR DOWN AN

AGE GROUP. In all other respects the laws of all games will be as per

the RFU Continuum 2007/08.

2)         All matches are either 10 minutes each way for U8s, 9s & 10s, or 15 minutes each way for U11s & 12s.  Note the U8s QF will be 6 mins each way iaw with QF rules.  However, in order to achieve a result, the Silver Try will be applied, followed by a flip of a coin.

3)         All players must be properly registered with the RFU and should be able to produce a valid Registration Card and number.

4)         Semi Final: In the event of a draw in the Semi Final the Silver Try rule will apply (ie the first team to score a try wins the match). No extra time will be played and in the event of a 0-0 draw, the match will be decided on the flip of a coin.

5)      Final: In the event of a draw in the Final, one extra period of 10 minutes (all age groups) will be played. If after this time the match is still drawn, then the Silver Try rule will apply. This rule will be applied for the whole duration of the match whether in regular or extra time. If the match is still drawn then the Championship will be shared.

6)         The referee’s decision is final.
