Welcome to the 2009/10 Season
Stow U12’s are a reasonably small squad of very highly committed players that all enjoy playing at a very good level. Team moral, friendship and fun are all key to our success. We achieved a great deal last season as U11’s, winning over 70% of all our games thanks to the dedication of the players. We still didn’t manage to perform to our best at the county cup, losing in the quarterfinal. However, we were rewarded, right at the end of the season with our first piece of silverware that was won in a 7-aside competition, so well done to all.
This season we will introduce a 12th player at No8 which will really start to crowd the pitch meaning the forwards will have to work even harder to control the game in order to give the backs that bit of extra space in which to run.
Last seasons awards went to Matt Hill (Most improved), who had an outstanding season. Tom Minns (Players Player) who is well liked and 100% reliable and Dan Beachus (Player of the season), whose vision and speed helped us to win many a match.
As ever we warmly welcome any new players that would like to join us this season and would like to thank all the people that put in so much time and effort to make Stow RFC such a success.
